End Of Violence

The opening scene introduces Mike Max who is a producer, and his wife Page. Max is busy talking profusely on the phone making deals and doing business and talking to his secretary on the computer about an email. The audience understands that this man is a man of money and power right away with the widely visuals showing all of his wealthy electronics, multi million dollar Malibu style mansion and elegant wife. Max's wife Page is very distraught and angry with Max because he has no time for her, which develops tension and a possibility of their marriage being on the rocks. The inciting incident occurs when Mike is kidnapped outside of a bar. Why was he kidnapped?

There are three protagonists in The End of Violence and all of them and the major characters are introduced in the first act and second act. Of course after the introduction of Max and Page, there is the introduction to Ray, who is a computer genius hooking up and observing a top secret surveillance crime monitoring system that blankets L.A with video cameras. The next major character Doc, is the cop investigating Mike Max’s disappearance and suspects that he is the killer of the two men that were found near a highway. The three protagonists Mike Max, Doc Block, and

rt group. Mexican people/immigrants who take in Max and hide him from the general public is unordinary. For the movie title being the end of violence there is not much violence in the film it is more of a movie of the abundance of violence and not its end. Because of all these clichés the film was really easy to predict.

As for pure plausibility, I’m sure when the writer sat down to write the film and its storyboard it had made sense. Even to the director he had a vision of the movie and the impact it would have for the public. To the understanding of the writer and director every element in the movie had a purpose, which some people would not understand because of the irrelevancy to relate to the movie was to complicated. Some of the situations were far fetched and irrelevant such as the father and some of the love relationships, but the truth or the theme behind the movie was strong and creatively divulged through out the film. Would Max really split everything with his wife? This movie was very clichéd. Every main character just happened to be involved in some kind of violent subject, job or action. The movies location just happens to be the violent streets of LA. The bar scene where Max and Kat meet and eventually get into a bar fight is a very typical cliché and so was the battered suppo!
