England’s Colonization in North America

The board of trade starts using salutary neglect in which England becomes a commercial empire. The colonies are now able to borrow money from the mother country. Now that the colonies have a source of money it will allow them to make money.

Between 1635 and 1640 there were strong conflicts between the colonists and the Native Indians. The Indians began to feel threatened due to the rapid expansion of the white man. The English colonists took over a lot of Native American land. Natives had to obey Puritan laws such as no fishing or hunting on the Sabbath day. Due to this the Pequot war broke out in 1635. Also, in 1675 King Philips War broke out in which Natives attacked and burned outlying settlements of New England.

Th Plymouth Companies colonization starts in 1606 when George Pophom makes and attempt to reach Maine but fails. In 1619, Edmund George successfully makes it to Maine and exp
