To me intellectual experience is the overall outcome of creative, analytical and psychological processes that happen in our mind as a result of stimuli. In theatre stimuli is a dramatic action on the stage. The outcome is a combination of these processes as a result of dynamic interaction in our mind. The join effects of the intellectual processes than create a synergy. It is important to keep in mind that persons need to be neither intellectually advanced nor educated theatre scholars to take a part in this processes. It happens in everybody’s mind. The whole theatrical intellectual experience starts with the playwright. As respected authority Robert Cohen remarks, “He is an anomalous figure in the theatre. In his home he is the master of the stage, the initiator of all theatrical art” (Cohen, p. 79) Not only playwrights is the origin of every play production, it is the origin of the overall intellectual appreciation of the audience. He or she is the one who makes the director and actors work so hard so there are no stains on the “silver platter.” The playwright’s intellectual experience begins with an idea, thought or experience, which strongly overtakes his mind and creates an urge to pass it all to the audience through his script. The playwright’s mind takes part in a creative process. The creative process is the process of generating ideas, molding them together in the back of the mind and finally making choices about the characters in situations. First during this process the playwright gets an impulse or idea to create and pass it to the audience. Than the playwright I his mind unconsciously thinks for long hours about that idea and how to put it in the script. Soon or later all of the sudden in his mind he answers questions that up to this time remained unanswered or were unclear. Finally the playwright makes the final intellectual choices depending on the message and the objectives of the play. This is often accomplished through tree main tools: duration, genre, and structure of the play. It takes a long time to make the entire package perfect, like a perfectly aged red wine that overtakes your mind and body. As we can see for the playwright writing the plays is a great intellectual experience.

Whereas the director brings the play into life, the actors interpret the play and give it a personality. Once the actor decides how he is going to portray his character, he must do research into the entire lifestyle of his character. Actors make intellectual choices in their mind to become a character. For the amount of time he is playing his character, he must eat, breath and live it. Thus their intellectual experience is very different from any other members of dramatic production. They can actually feel the characters, moreover they think like the characters. Because the actors are the ones, who have the ultimate control of passing the message
