In the name of Jesus, I pray that all fathers in our nation will look to Jesus as the Perfect Example of how to be a father.

It is said that Martin Luther was stewing about his problems one day when suddenly he noticed his wife wearing a black armband. He asked her, "Who died?" She replied, "God died. He must have; you're not trusting Him anymore but trying to take everything into your own hands." Martin Luther got the message and realized how foolish he had been.

I thank you LORD that my life is not in my inadequate hands, but in your

perfectly capable loving hands. Help me to remember that and to lean on you rather than on my own abilities and intentions. I ask You in the Name of Jesus, amen.

God does not want any one of us to leave this life with out knowing of His saving grace. The people of

bigger home? Some nice jewelry and clothes? Does the increase belong to us? Doesn't everything belong to the LORD? Isn't He entrusting us with it? Should not the increase also belong to the LORD? Should not we be doing His work with it? LORD God, help me to be constantly mindful that all belongs to You.

devoured by the sword,' For the mouth of the LORD has spoken." - Isa

Without asking if that was fair to Hosea, let me ask: "What is the span of time Hosea served on earth, regardless of how painful, compared to the eternity Hosea is spending in the presence of God, knowing that he served God faithfully?"

Isaiah, son of Amoz, said, "Learn to do right. Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow." - Isa 1:17
