The Matrix and Jesus

Computer hacker Thomas Anderson a.k.a Neo has lived a relatively ordinary life--in what he thinks is the year 1999--until the enigmatic Morpheus who leads him into the real world contacts him. In reality, it is 200 years later, and the world has been laid waste and taken over by advanced artificial intelligence machines. The computers have created a false version of 20th-century life--the "Matrix"--to keep the human slaves satisfied, while the AI machines draw power from the humans. Anderson, pursued constantly by "Agents" (computers who take on human form and infiltrate the Matrix), is hailed as "The One" who will lead the humans to overthrow the machines and reclaim the Earth.

The reason for this is because the storyline of the Matrix is very close to the story of Jesus the Messiah. Neo has been chosen as ?the One? to save all human beings from being destroyed by the Matrix, Jesus, has been chosen by the almighty God to save humans from Sin which, in this case would be referred to as the Matrix. They both are around 30 years of age when they are both contacted by people they have been searching for pretty much their whole life and in turn they are chosen to be the ?One? to save humans from being killed by things they take for granted in everyday life. As the both learn new things and ways to save the people they love, in the end they would both have to sacrifice their lives.
