III. Summary: This book was about a boy named Harry Potter and his adventures at Hogwarts School for Witches and Warlocks. It is Harry's second year at the school. His two best friends are Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, also attending Hogwarts. They all live at the school during the school year. Harry lives with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and their son Dudley Dursley. An evil wizard called Voldemort killed Harry’s real parents when Harry was very young. For some unknown reason, Voldemort was unable to kill Harry and this defeated Voldemort. Harry’s life at the Dursley’s was not good. He was forced to life under the stairs for most of his life.

At Hogwarts mysterious attacks begin to occur. The victims of the attacks become “petrified”, they are almost statue-like. At the first attack there was some writing on the wall warning muggle-borns and muddbloods. (Muggles are nonmagical people, and muddbloods are people with muggle blood as well as wizard blood.) Harry, Hermione and Ron are very anxious to stop the attacks, Harry is a muddblood and Hermione is a muggle born. They discover many clues. The attacks are a result of The C

It was like a very slimy slide only about 3 miles long. They were in a dark tunnel under Hogwarts. Harry used his wand as a flash light Ron tried to use his and it caused a cave-in. Harry was separated from Ron. Harry continued forward and found himself at another wall with snake emblems all over it, again he commanded “open-up”. It opened to the chamber itself. He walked to the front of it and he found Ginny at the feet of a gigantic Slytherin statue along with the diary of Tom Riddle. She was lying there almost dead. Harry cried, “don’t be dead, stand up, please stand up….” he heard a voice “ Oh she is not dead, not yet.” It was Tom Riddle. He explained to Harry how she would write in the diary and he would write back. She would tell him her secrets, her problems, her petty worries. Tom Riddle’s memories became Ginny’s best friend and with every time they met he gained a little more of her soul. He was even able to control her and make her attack all the people. She realized what was happening but it was to late. She tried to tell Harry the day before she was taken into the chamber but she couldn’t, not in front of all the people in the great hall. She also stole the diary from Harry after he found it. She was afraid it would tell Harry about very thing in a way to make her sound willing to do it. Tom also explained he is the memory of Lord Voldemort at age sixteen. Suddenly, the snake charged at Harry. A phoenix with the sorting hat flew into the chamber. The bird gave Harry the hat and st
