Japanese Vs. American Anime
Thesis Statement: The American and Japanese animation are good in their own way, but the American Animation is outnumbered in better qualities of Japanese anime.The word for “anime” has two different meanings, one which is meant as the Japanese version of animation (What Is Anime?). The other is that it is animated manga comics. Many believe that anime is copy the american cartoons of their style and stories, but in its’ reality, it is not at all copying america (What Is Anime?). The truth is that Japan has been doing anime for hundreds of years, and that is why old style art is similar to modern day manga, Japanese comics (What Is Anime?). Actually, it is said that it might be influence from the Chinese form of art(What Is Anime?). Now, anime is not considered just japanese, but the all of the Asian countries around there(What Is Anime?). But the heart of Anime is still in the country of Japan (What Is Anime?). The styles of American animation and the style of Japanese animation is totally different. They may have some similarities, but they also have their differences. Let see some of the early styles used by animators. The style used was called “Paper Silhouette Animation”, and this is being used by today’s animators(History of Jap...). Now, apart of all the history, what is actually the difference? Well, in american drawings and pictures or cartoons, the eyes are very simple(Overview of Jap...). While in the japanese drawings, the eyes are more complicated to draw, because they want it to look like if it were life-like(Overview of Jap...). What is Manga? This question has a basic answer to it. Manga is a common name given for the term of Japanese comics(Overview of A..;What is Anime?). The second question about manga is, what is the use for manga? Well, in the United States, some cartoons are based off comics, such as X-Men, Superman and Spiderman. But in Japan, these comics called manga are the base of anime to start off on. The story for the anime is the same from the manga. As said by many “Manga is the first step in Japanese Animation” (Overview of A...). In other words, anime is manga coming to life on the screen. Alot of the anime had got their big start from many popular mangas(What is Anime?). They go through a course, which some people call “The Manga Course”, where these mangas are turned into anime tv series(Overview of A...). Some of these anime were Pokemon, Card Captors, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, and Sailor Moon. Mangas were actually not turned into anime before. They used to be just! At the beginning, most of the anime was about Japanese folk tales (History of Jap...). In the 1920’s to the 1930’s, many artists used to work at their home-based studios(History of Jap...). They would sell their work at their homes for money, and with the money that they get, they use it on to make more ideas for anime (History of Jap...).
