Growing up Joan of Arc was confident, obedient, and had a soft, loving heart. Joan grew up on a farm with her family. Since Joan’s father was a farmer, she worked around the house doing all sort of dutiful works. She would do things such as weave, harvest, and tend the flocks. After all her works were completed Joan would go and play. Joan was liked by everybody because she was full of laughter. She would love to play, smile, socialize with others, pray, and do her duties. Joan went to church everyday. She frequently confessed her sins and went to mass daily. Showing love

Joan of Arc who was inspired with the faith of the lord, helped France a lot and is vividly remembered today throughout the world. Joan is loved today as she was loved in the past by many people. She is loved today for her braves, her spirituality, and her victories. Without her France would have not pushed back the English. If she did not push the English back they would have had conquered all of France. She kept on fighting until the end of her life with the love of the lord and France. The English were frustrated at her accomplishments and needed to get rid of her fast. Once the English got a hold of Joan they judged her. Because of Joan’s victories and accomplishments of France she was burnt on the cross.

Joan’s role in the 100 years war came from within herself and the Saints who told her to fulfil the dream of many French people. At the age of 16 Joan had made one of the biggest choices that came from the Saints. She listen to the Saints because during this era france was undergoing a terrible state against the English. The English had captured a lot of the North of France. By this she felt that she was chosen by the Saints to save France from any threat of being conquered by someone foreign. After Joan had made a personal agreement of going along with the saints she set forth to the Dauphin Charles. In 1428 she left from Domremy to Vaucouleurs. The Vaucouleurs was the nearest stronghold of the king. At this point Joan asked the captain of the garrison, Robert de Baudricot, for permission to join them. Robert De Baudricot did not care for the 16 year old or her visions. Therefore he denied her and sent her back home. Eight months later Joan returned to the Vacouleurs. This time she was allowed to go through and meet the Dauphin. When Joan came to Charles, he didn’t know whether to receive her. But King Charles gave her the right to talk infront of his courtiers with him. She told them about her visions and her with to battle against the English. She told the dauphin Charles that her would be crowned at the English occupied city of Reims. Many examinations went forward and people started to take Joan’s words into consideration.
