Science fiction settings are almost likely to be futuristic, with clever gadgets, futuristic weapons, outrageous wardrobes, and even cohabitations with extraterrestrials. Action films do not need to be futuristic or at certain point in time. They just need to have an antagonist and protagonist to create tension.
