We think of Hitler as a monster, comparable to Dracula or Frankenstein. We are brought up making the word Nazi synonymous to evil, yet most of us do don’t truly understand what exactly the circumstances where in Germany regarding the “final solution”. As Americans we make assumptions and generalizations with out examining all facts or reasons leading to the conflict. However most of us will do this and be the first one to pounce on those who exhibit a racist or sexist or even homophobic statement. We neglect to look at the facts as we are so engulfed in our own comforts and we are in fact brainwashed products of public schooling. What they spoon feed us we eat and it assimilates in to our unconscious mind.

Lets break down what the term Nazi means, National Socialist workers party, this is looking out for the workers of Germany. The Blue Collar individuals, whose strength and toil fuels a country and economy. It was not until a angry young Adolph Hitler attended a meeting did Germany start with the Anti-Semitism. The high council of the Nazi party buy this hook, line and sinker. They ask him to join the party, but surprisingly Hitler declines, but they send him a membership card. At this point Hitler forms his own small army of men sporting brown shirts. This is the S.A and will help Hitler force his way into power. Hitler finally joins the Nazi party and they buy a newspaper, The Vokschier Beobachter and start to promote their propaganda against the Jews. Hitler is now hailed as the Fuher of the Nazi Party. They adopt the 25 points which will later be law. Hitler tries to over throw the Bavarian Government and is jailed at Landsberg. While in prison he writes Mein Kampf. When it is published this starts a huge wave of German Nationalism and he is reinstated in the Nazi Party. They usurped power, the Holocaust begins. Jews are rounded up like cattle and sent to work camps. They are penned in behind barbed wire and armed guards, forced to eat thin soups and many die of starvation and disease. Eventually these work camps become death camps, where massive amounts of life is lost and disposed of either by cremation, execution style shootings or gassing. This is one of the biggest atrocities in the history of the world. As the story goes, the allies win the war and Germany is sent back on a tailspin of economic depression and strife for years. However they took 10-14 million Jews to their deaths. However we neglect to mention the Gypsies, Homosexuals and allied soldiers who were also brutalized and killed, who were part of that 10-14 million. This is exactly the slanted look Americans have that I am talking about. The rule of thumb when writing history is simple, who ever wins the war, writes the textbooks.
