ther Long was my quick hands, reactions at third base, and that I displayed them all in the tryouts held in March. 7 Heather looked surprised during the beginning of tryouts on a cold day in March when we were all taking ground balls in the field, and I was doing really well. 8 The tryouts became a competition, as it seemed, between her and me. 9 When coach put us in our positions on the field Heather and I took turns at third base, she messed up four times, while I was perfect the whole time. 10 Coach was very impressed and he shared this by continuing to complement me on the great job I was doing. 11 Everyone at the tryouts were impressed with the job I was doing they expressed this by coming up to me at the end practice. 12 The last girl on the team that came up to me was the second baseman who I had looked up to for very long time, her name is Maria Costelli and she complimented me by saying how impressed she was with my fielding skills at third base. 18 My personality also took part in some of Charles Darwin’s ideas about natural selection at the varsity softball tryouts at Patchogue Medford High School in March of my eighth grade year. 19 Coach Lowe also felt that my personality would be an asset to the team, thus giving me one more adva
