The firm also has the technology required to use the same clips on TV and movie clips. Testing of the new on-line feature has shown that the ads can receive 30 times the response that previous banner ads were. However, the ads may spark short-term interest, and then end up with low response rates similar to banner ads (Hobson). Banner advertising on the Internet has decreased dramatically in the past few years. In past years, the click-through rate on banner was nearly 3 percent and is currently at less than 1 percent.
