As Christians and Catholics, we are called to both love and serve our God. Have we ever put one of these ahead of the other? Which is more important? To love or to serve? Some would argue that they are one in the same. In the parable of The Prodigal Son ( Luke 15:11-32) Jesus speaks of the importance to love God the Father. In our society, today, I would argue that what we really need is love. The gospel of Luke “emphasizes the salvific aspect of the Good News more than anyof the other gospels, first of all in the way he shapes the image of Jesus.” Luke shows that Jesus is the savior
