Preventing Terrorism

On September 11, 2001, thousands of people in the twin towers, one hundred and ninety people in the pentagon, and all of the passengers in planes of flight numbers 11, 77, 93, and 175 were killed when terrorists led by Osama bin Laden, attacked America with commercial jets. As a result, there has been talk about war in the future and what results a war can bring. A war means that people might die and that other sacrifices may have to be made. Is it worth the trouble? I am convinced that the US should go to war if necessary in order to try to prevent terrorists attacks from happening again any time future.

It is clear through the history of terrorism that if the US does not try to stop this terrorism right now, other anti-US organizations will think that the US will not react and perpetuate more attacks. If the terrorists are punished for their actions this time, then it will set an example to the other groups. This will discourage the other groups from trying to attack the US in a way, because they will know the severe consequences of their actions.
