Religious beliefs are obviously not necessary for someone to find satisfaction in their life. Satisfaction can be found in many forms, from going to church, to knowing that you did a job well. Those who have a religion cant see themselves without having that feeling of “god” inside them, but to those of us who don’t have a religion, that feeling is replaced by a feeling of self-pride. I know that I get a great feeling of pride out of knowing I did something on my own without any assistance from god.

People with strong religious beliefs often see those who do not believe in god to be sad, weak individuals with no hope or direction.
