Statistics show a high number of domestic violence victims on the well fare system. Brandwein goes on to illustrate about the legal terms of the New York State TANF applicants must receive a screening where it is determined whether the battered women are results of an abusive relationship. TANF workers reports that a very few women have been identified as products of domestic violence, and many never report it.
