In the world of tomorrow, life has always been predicted as getting simpler and more advanced. And things like innovative technology and higher education have become requirements and necessary in order to survive. Even then, ignorance, a disease of the mind, still haunts people who believe that mistreating and harming their partners is something that is all right. They need the aid to get out and away from their abusive partners. However, even when household violence hold a big threat to women and their well being they refuse to let the system TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) help. Brandwein goes on to illustrate about the legal terms of the New York State TANF applicants must receive a screening where it is determined whether the battered women are results of an abusive relationship. TANF workers reports that a very few women have been identified as products of domestic violence, and many never report it. It is grasped many women are afraid or ashamed to portray them selves as victims. Also they distrust, that they won’t be helped if they were to identify themselves. If these women are to be help it has to be taken under measures that better communication and change of culture in local offices are implemented. Also the staff has to be aware of all these issues along with a sense of acceptance and trust that the women have been injured in all ways.
