The Club Scene

Going to clubs is a way for teenagers of different ages to relax.

Here in South Florida, the night club scene has recently become extremely popular. The nightclub scene has always been popular, but its effect among the teenage to young adult community has become tremendous. With the government inputting new age restrictions, more clubs that cater to younger teens (under 18) have emerged. With all of these new clubs emerging, teens now have places that they can go to meet new people, function in different environments, and feel a sense of freedom.

The club is the perfect place to go if you want to meet new people. There are so many different clubs located in South Florida, and each club has a different element that reaches out to a particular type or group of people. The element that each club projects reaches out to the interest of each person drawing them to a place where they would seem most comfortable. The different clubs try to cater to everyone from the break-dancer to the booty-dancer, but in most instances, clubs only cater to what the most popular trend is. If you are a big fan of hip-hop and booty-music and want to meet other people with your interest, you would go to a club that promotes rap, hip-hop


The club scene is a good place to go to meet new people, function in different environments, and feel a sense of freedom, but it is not a good place to go if you are still at an impressionable stage in your life. The club scene is a place where alot of bad habits can be picked up on very quickly, and if you are not ready to handle the responsibility, the club is not the best place for you to be. The young teen must remember that because they are in a different environment, there are different rules that they must follow in order to have fun, but also stay safe. A big thing that must be remembered when attending a club is use common sense.

I believe that the thing that draws most young teens to the club scene, even more than meeting new people or functioning in a different environment, is the overwhelming sense of freedom that each teen feels when they go out. When each young teen goes out, they feel free. They feel that because they are out of the sight of their parents, they can do whatever they want, or better yet, whatever makes them feel good.
