(Tupac Shakur 1995) Tupac was and will always be the greatest, most controversial rapper of all time. He never held back on anything and when he had something to say, he would say it straight up. People did not always like what he had to say and it got him in to a lot of trouble, but he kept it real and always told things like they were. “That’s how I feel, I’ma do whatever I like … I was raised in this society so I can’t expect me to be a perfect person cause I’ma do what I’ma do.”(Tupac) Tupac was admired for this. Tupac influenced most of the people that listened to his music. People began to dress like him and talk like him when they saw him on the music videos singing his newest songs. They listened to his words and tried to do the same things as him. He sometimes did put out bad messages to youth by rapping about guns, drugs, and the language which he used towards women but in his lifestyle they were not portrayed as bad. He said these things because he did spend eleven and a half months in a maximum-security jail for something he claims he never did and says that he was framed for. He also spend two years of his young life homeless on the street and grew up having it hard to fit in. Tupac was not a normal man, but he was still trying to send a good message to the youth’s that listened and still do listen to his music. Tupac was one of raps most controversial and influential performers. Tupac Amaur Shakur left a distinct impact on American culture that is still being shown today. He was one of the most influential persons in the 20th and 21st century in America. He will be remembered and loved by a lot for years to come. He has served and will serve as a role model for younger kids growing up today. He lead a difficult life all the way from his birth all the way to his death. There were always people after him and rivals that wanted him gone. He lived through a few terrible shooting which he recovered from quickly but on September 7th 1996, Tupac Shakur was shot by unknown gunmen and died on September 13, 1996. Much of what happened on that night remains a mystery to this very day. Some of his fans still believe that he is alive somewhere hiding from this terrible world. They say that his death was all staged for him because he wanted to get away from this life. But nobody will ever know for sure. He has also influenced many future and present rap artists. Biggie Smallz for example sounded just like Tupac, and used the same voice tones as Tupac in his songs. And his background music has also been heard in over 8 songs since his death. Tupac had now become very rich and famous. His lifestyle became one that was admired by many. He was showing off his own style now and did not need his popular friends to stand in his way. This is the time that many people began to see the real Tupac Shakur and they began to love him. His talents, his words that he sang were words that many people related themselves too. It made people feel better about themselves to know that they were not the only ones struggling and that their feeling of love and hate were shared by such a famous rap figure. As his status grew, so did the number of his followers. Many began to praise him, and his CD’s were selling millions. No matter what was happening to him whether he was in jail for crimes or taking a leave from California, his reputation never fell. He was now very influential to fans. They all yearned to be just like him. He starred in more movies and this is where he would show who he really was. He did a lot of int!
