One of the most important factors in having a successful business is advertising. One of the best ways to advertise is on television; we like to call them commercials. No one wants to watch them, but we have to because they interrupt all of our favorite television shows. That’s what makes commercials so successful; they catch you off guard. Just when decide to turn the channel during commercials, one will catch your attention and you’ll think “I want that product”. These 10 commercials were voted to be the best commercials ever aired on television.
The tenth best commercial was advertising Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers. The commercial featured two old, laid back men drinking the wine coolers. I wasn’t to sure why this one was one of the top ten because I have seen way better commercials than this. The ninth ranked commercial was for Wendy’s. In this commercial an old woman was looking at a huge hamburger bun with a little hamburger patty and she says
“Where’s the beef?” in a raspy old voice. Some people thought the commercial was funny because Wendy’s sales increased by 30%. The eighth commercial is advertising for McDonald’s. “You deserve a break!” is what McDonald’s based the commercial on. So in your long, hard working day “You deserve a break!” to go eat some greasy fast food. McDonald’s is the last place I’m going on my break. The seventh best commercial was an advertisement Maxwell House Coffee. This commercial just tried to emphasize that you should drink Maxwell House Coffee in the morning to start up your day and they played annoying music. The sixth ranked commercial was for Noxzema Shaving Gel. This was the most sexual commercial during its time, and it had a woman shaving a man while playing seductive music.
I don’t know who voted for these commercials because some of them suck. The only commercial that can still be taken seriously is the Coke commercial. People now look for more in a commercial, it
