Vietnam
The United States entered the Vietnam War in 1964. This war lasted for 9 year. Although it was never considered to be a war, the United States kept sending troops over to fight in a war that wasn’t ours. The number dead totaled 52,132 people. This number included men, women and children. In my opinion I don’t think we should have entered this war because it wasn’t our war to fight. The reason the United States entered this war was so that communism wouldn’t spread across Vietnam. This was wrong because too many people died for a wrong cause. When our soldiers were over in Vietnam, there was a lot of protesting being done over here in the United States. These protests were to help stop the war and find peace. Also people protested about the draft. The draft back then was from anyone between the ages of 18 and 33. This was bad because many young men got drafted for a war that no one could understand why we were fighting in it for. Such protests l
