Consequences of no military activities overseas U.S. Military risk their lives overseas to ensure freedom in the United States. It all begins when a young person makes the choice to join the Armed Forces. Most people join straight out of high school or shortly thereafter. A lot of people look down on people who join the military. Those people think that the military is a way out, and those who join are the people that cannot make it in the “real world”. Also, there is a lot of controversy about the recent involvement with China. Granted, the United States was spying on China, but if we did not spy on this country we could lose ground in being the world power. A lot of people think we should pull all the troops out of the Middle East because many Americans lose their lives there. If the troops are pulled out of the Middle East, we take the chance of losing our oil supply. America without the oil supply from the Middle East would be disastrous. One thing that keeps the U.S. troops heads held high is the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars).
