             involves power, death, illusion, hypocrisy, maltreatment and cruelty. The power theme is what .
             comprises mostly the characters of this play. The two main characters of the play Stanley and .
             Blanche are continuously fighting over their power, but they not always win. Stanley and .
             Blanche are both powerful and impotent in diverse situations and associated with the other .
             characters of the play.
             Blanche's brother-in-law, Stanley is one of the most powerful characters on the play. His .
             brutal and abusive attitude panics and delights his wife, Stella. However to the viewer his .
             authority toward Stella is nothing more than just violence. His supremacy as the head of the .
             family is shown since the beginning of the play when he throws a meat package at Stella (2072). .
             Always Stanley's power upon others comes together with violence. His power and abuse is also .
             revealed in the part when he whacks Stella's thigh (2089). Stanley wants to prove to everybody .
             that he is the boss, he is the leader and everything that he says should be done, because if .
             someone does not obey him, he will use violence upon them. Stanley's violence is expressed .
             physically and verbally. This brute character uses his verbal power of yelling, shouting and .
             crying out generally toward Blanche. Stanley cannot stand an impulsive person like Blanche .
             around. He is a man and as a man he should be upon all females. He ceaselessly tries to make .
             Blanche understand this fact. Blanche gets his message clear but she does not want to accept it. .
             In fact she opposes this fact firmly. Stanley loses control tring to convince Blanche and so he .
             finds abetter? solution, he rapes her (2131). Finally, Stella's husband used his physical power to .
             affirm his point to Blanche. .
             Stanley is obsessed by the idea of being so influential upon others.
