A Clean Well-lighted Place

A Clean Well-Lighted Place by Ernest Hemingway is a story of two waiters at a cafe having a discussion late at night about an old man that frequently sits at the cafe late at night and drinks. One of the topics that the two waiters discuss is that the old man tried to commit suicied. This is the first example of the ignorance of youth. The young waiter implies that if there is money, than there is no reason to despair. Tha
