In an educational setting, teachers are not always right. “ 7. There are right and wrong answers” (Langer 100). When interpreting a novel, poem, etc… there is constantly a right answer because it is your perspective on its’ significance. Therefore, students should have the ability to critically think on the knowledge that is being imposed to them. They should characterize the rights from the wrongs. To do this, pupils have to first think critically instead of accepting the concept given by the teachers to be knowledgeable.

Communication between teacher and student is important because the student would feel freely to express him or herself to the world. Students would be able to explain the studied materials in an educational way because they would know its’ true meaning and faults from the truths.

In the example of knowing the times table there was no analyzing done by the student. In this kind of environment the instructor is telling the student the answer for each multiplication example, students are not questioning its deeper meaning. Another example, in PS 15 where I work, a child did not know what six times six equaled. So I asked him what does six times five equal and he answered correctly.
