Advancements In Medicine

With the advancements of technology over the past years, physicians, especially those who practice in intensive care setting, are faced with patients who are not going to recover, however they are not going to die. This is due to modern treatments and technology. However there are certain ethics that you have to follow. Medical ethics comprise every aspect of health care, medical, moral, social, political, religious legal and financial.

Medical ethics considers ideas of personal freedom and dignity. Medical ethics also deals with medical advances in technology and has reshaped traditional medical ethics. Medical ethics have changed drastically over a period of time. Classic experiments challenge the framework of the guidelines of medical ethics or perhaps even the total definition of medical ethics. There are three rules that show that the guidelines of medical ethics change over the years.

The first rule is, “Treat all human life as of equal worth”. However this commandment is hard to follow. Since this rule was hard to follow, they revised the rule stating that you should recognize the worth of a human life and understand that the value of the life varies.
