Aquaintance Rape Vs. Classic Rape
Forced sex without consent is rape. This applies to acquaintances, dates, family members and partners; not just strangers, however when most people think of rape, they think of the ‘classic rape’ scenario. This involves a crazed lunatic leaping out of the bushes, brandishing a weapon and attacking an unsuspecting woman in a deserted area. There is physical evidence of struggle, and the victim receives medial attention and immediately co-operates with the police. However, this is rarely the case.
