Throughout his life, Beowulf was a man of many achievements. He was very victorious in battle, and for this Hrothgar chose him

to defeat Grendel. When Beowulf killed Grendel and his mother, he also defeated the evil that they symbolized in the name of God. Beowulf made the Danes a peaceful people once again also, making him one of the greatest heroes to ever live.

In conclusion, Beowulf and King Arthur were very similar. They both possessed many of the same characteristics, characteristics found in great heroes. Both of them had quests to protect innocent people from evil; both were blessed by God; both fought with great courage and pride. Although King Arthur had no supernatural powers as Beowulf did, he did possess several comparable traits: they were both physically strong, morally right, and both shared a passion for what they did. Using these qualities they both protected mankind from evil, both rescued family and friends from evil circumstances, and both gained immortality.

King Arthur achieved great things. By defeating Mordred, he showed his heroic qualities and ended the feuding between the two kingdoms, bringing peace.
