Athletic Benefits Of Supplements

The Development of drugs and supplements used by mankind has evolved from what it once was in its early stages of existence. As with all man-made things, it is said that anything made by man can be improved (Moore, p35). With this concept, almost anything in nature can apply. In this case, the development of anabolic supplements and the human body. In the later years, the usage of supplements in sporting events have helped athletes achieve new goals which could not have been accomplished through training alone. With the Human body, there is only so much room for improvement until a limit has been achieved in the progress of a persons developments. With these limits in the development in the human body, certain frustrations can result from witnessing no benefits in physical training. Even for those individuals who are ill and plague with a disease, the usage of supplements can aid that individual back to health. The same reasoning can be applied to a bodybuilder who has reached his maximum and can no longer attain new goals. But certain questions arise when the usage of supplements are in to play, "Do they (supplements) actually working?","Are supplements hazardous to the health?","Are the supplements just a waste of mone

With all the supplements on the market, the decision to choose one or two which will work for you is a difficult decision. It is based on what body type you are, what type of workout plan you have made for yourself, and what type of diet you have made for yourself. Those are all valid beneficial factors when choosing supplements to take. Also what type of health hazards do each drug propose is a very important factor for one who decides to take supplements. For my experiment, I have deduced what supplements I shall be taking in order to answer my question along with designing a dietary program for me to follow and a workout program which I have been following for quite a while. The dietary program is one that will include and intake of low fat while consuming high protein or making sure that the amount of fat consumed is half of the amount of protein consumed in a day. I shall also be keeping a record of my progress in weight and strength gains since my goal is to increase strength as well as lose unnecessary fat on the body. For what I shall be doing, the most important thing for me is keeping track of my progress and trying to fit in meals a day. It will be interesting to see the results that I have developed in a three week process.

The second most important supplement taken by me was the powdered substance of Creatine Monohydrate by GNC. Essentially, what creatine does is it supplies the body with something that is already produced by the muscles in the body called ATP (andenosine triphosphate) which is basically energy. What Creatine also does is that it removes the water from the muscles. That causes fatigue and soreness is the amount of water that is contained in the water. Removing the water from the muscles leads to working out longer and harder than before and also causes the muscles to volumize and appear more full and larger than before. Taking Creatine prior to a workout has been said to increase the effectiveness of workouts (International Journal of Sports Medicine, 1998). The only downside to this is the fact that it should not be mixed with caffeine products so Creatine must be taken at a different time than Hydroxycut.

y and don't benefit anything?". All of those questions are what the developers of chemist, doctors, and training consultant take into consideration before actually creating a new product or recommending someone to use supplements. The question that I would like to answer for myself, "Are supplements actually beneficial in attaining new gains and do they genuinely produce results?" The answer to that question can be said and proven through research and experimentation alone, and what better way to support claims made by me is to use myself as my own test subject.

According to in most cases, a person who is most likely overweight or obese (Peña, p.138) and has tried all sorts of workout programs, usually the only other choice for them to go to is supplements or surgery. According to Peña and other professional trainers, people who fall into this category are called, "Endomorphs". Being an Endomorph means that the body intakes nutrients the same way as others with the exception that the body burns off fat and calories slower than any other. That is why going for supplements will help most people since surgery is expensive. So basically supplement usage is the way to go towards achieving their goal in weightlifting or training (in this case, target fat loss). For people who pertain to the category of overweight, their best supplement to go for is anything that is thermogenic. If it is thermogenic, it is a metabolic enhancer which increases the core body temperature that increases the metabolism in the body and allows the body to burn of fat quickly and faster than before. For those who are trying to build larger muscles and gain weight in the process are in most cases skinny or slender with no physique at all (Peña, p.138). These people fall under the class of an
