Arriving at the airport on a nice day. After going to eat breakfast with my family. Then to get into the airport for the beginning of my trip to the down under. I sat on two different planes until we left finally got on the plane to leave the country. Then on being on this huge plane for 15 hours. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I sat next to Jennie and we talked and hen slept most of the way. Landing in Sydney was fun but we got on another plane to Brisbane right away.

I sat on a bus until we arrived at a koala reserve. They had a lot of koalas and other animals, like kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, dingo, and more. I walked around the reserve with Jennie, Misty, and Billy. Jennie and Billy i met before we left Kansas City, while Misty I met in Los Angles for the first time. We then got back on the bus to drive 4 hours to our motel. We were staying in it was by the beach. It was a big open motel with a bunch of small cottage like places. .

We were back at the Sydney airport, for the second time. We weren’t going home but to continue our adventure into New Zealand. I had thought that this would be the boring part, who has herd of anything from New Zealand. We arrived at New Zealand and what a change from Australia. We got on a bus that took use to another airport where we got on another plane but this time the destination was Christ Church. We finally got on a bus, after that plane ride, that took use to Methvan. It was a long drive and I slept a lot. Then I woke and looked out the window and I saw something I hadn’t seen in a long time, snow. It was great, snow was everywhere. with mountains in the distance it was absolutely gorgeous. It seemed as though we were in Colorado.

Billy and I were in his room talking with Misty, Jenny, and Jenifer (I met her in L.A.). Until we decided to go find the beach. Jennie left and then we decided to go. The night was so dark and peaceful, we couldn’t tell the difference between the sky and the water. The sky was so beautiful it almost seemed fake. We saw shooting stars and it seemed that we were able to see the most distance of star. As we went to bed and the morning came I wanted to stay at that spot but we had to move on. So off to the bus again.

We woke the next morning to a cold room but a hot breakfast. It was good, roll type things and hot coco. Then to get dressed because we were off to the cliff. We loaded back on the buses for a bout a hour long trip to the base of the mountain. Then we were told we would have to climb it. There were a lot of sheep on the mountain and the Rock and Ice team named the snow sheep poo snow. Luckily we would just follow a path that was cut up the mountain. It was still hard work. By the time I was half way up the mountain I had taken my hat, gloves, and sweater off, but I wasn’t the only one many people did. As we neared the top we stopped for some food. Then went over the equipment we would use to repeal off the mountain with. I put my gear on a was ready to go. We went up the rest of the mountain it was a thin path. As I was walking I looked out away from the mountain and saw the most magical thing. The snow glistened and the view was mystical as I was privileged see the beauty these mountains see everyday. I then continued up the mountain. We stopped near the platform where, they again explained the equipment to us. Then we began our descent but we would not be walking. We took one step backward and we were slowly falling. I got up to the edge looked down and thought this will be fun. As I slowly became parallel with the ground, by slowly inching down the plat form. I felt the rush, then I quickened my pace. I started to kick out I was swinging and felt like fling. Then I did it again and almost lost my shoe. I didn’t do it so hard a couple more times. Then I couldn’t reach the cliff I was stuck. Then I realized I controlled my descent with my hand not my legs. I then let myself slowly fall to the ground. While taking in the beauty of my surroundings. I felt like I was one with nature just sitting there floating with nature. Not everyone went so smoothly as me. Josh couldn’t repel down because he had a thing with heights but he did make it up the mountain. LeAnn almost started to cry when she was looking down but she was able to do it. When everyone had finished, we began to walk down. Misty wasn’t feeling well, so I walked slowly along with her. We were back on the bus and on our w
