Bball Game

As I walked into the dome I could sense excitement that I did not expect to see in a Missouri Valley Conference game. I was excited to see my two friends play and the fans were excited to see two good programs on the rise in college basketball. There was large crowd already there when the warm-ups started. The game was put on very well by UNI in my opinion. They bring out the bleachers in dome as well as large purple curtains that are put up behind each basket. This brings the fans closer to the action and

As I walked out of the dome that night I left with a greater respect for the people that put on that even because I enjoyed myself very much. It gave me something to get away from the books for a while and I am sure it provided a lot of other people with a fun getaway from the stress of life. I am glad that I chose this event to write about for the assignment because of the fact that I learned how humanities of our everyday life lies at a basketball game just as much as in a play or musical performance.

makes it for a more exciting atmosphere. The UNI band was in attendance and played during the breaks in the game along with cheerleaders, the dance team, and the Panther Mascot. The performance by all of those groups was very good. I could tell that they all work very hard in practicing for these events. I only wish the performance in the actual game was as good as the other performances put on. The game started out very one-sided with Creighton putting on a full court press and stealing the ball often while holding UNI to only 19 points in the first half. I think it was obvious that Creighton came out with more fire and was just out hustling UNI. It was a very uneventful first half on the part of both teams
