Blacks In America
The African Americans living in America who went there for working and living conditions were not considered to be a very good race in the beginning. They met very hard circumstances especially in the area of racism. They were not given nice jobs and had to live in the more poor areas of their region. They couldn't get on the same bus with a white person. Also they were killed and hurt by the very racist Ku Klux Klan (KKK). However leaders like Martin Luther King and Malcolm X opened a new period by beginning the Blacks Rights Movements during the 50's and the 60's. Their aim was to reach equality amongst blacks and whites in the society. Malcolm X's goal was to find peace by non-violence. He stated that: "The only revolution in which the goal is loving your enemy is the Negro revolution. He also argued that; "No sane black man really wants integration! No sane white man really wants integration... and that; The honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that for the black man in America the only solution is complete separation from the white man!" This was his view against M. Luther King who said you could make war in order to get whats yours. These speeches and movements made America do something about the blacks and their positions.
