Excavation And Discovery

Today so begins our expedition to the eastern plains. Finally, after all these years of begging the counsel to fund our project, we finally have the means embraces our longest sought desire. To seek out, excavate, and learn all we can of the old worlds cultures. After the great war of 2012 most of what we knew of the old world faded away through the generations to come. Factual testimony till this very day is extremely unreliable; all that we have left are tattered written claims of the outcome of the war. We have bits and pieces of what ensued following the fallout, and how the continents rebuilt post war from only as far back as 3250. That leaves over 1000 years of history lost in the mists of a post-nuclear society. The mist’s that me, along side my team of specialists, intend to clear on this expedition.

Beside me heading the anthropological team, at my side is a colony renowned Archeologist named Dr. Justina Flynn. Archaeology is the study of past cultures, through peoples\' material remains (i.e. artifacts). Beside being the best in her field, she is the only one whose spent the majority of her life devoted to learning of the old world. Where most people wis


Artifact 2# led to the idea that this rebuilding culture had some grasp on technology. What the metal fragments represent could be a number of things, possibly cooking and/or weaponry. It was Dr. Flynn that suggested the metal fragments to be that of fishing tools. Considering the land was devastating following the Great War, pestilence and death covered the land. Killing off most of hunt-able food sources. With this in mind, it was possible that the people of this land resorted to the sea as a source of food and nutrition. After all, it would make sense considering this embankment parallels a coast. This helped Dr. Flynn with her indigenous research.
