Excavation And Discovery

Today so begins our expedition to the eastern plains. Finally, after all these years of begging the counsel to fund our project, we finally have the means embraces our longest sought desire. To seek out, excavate, and learn all we can of the old worlds cultures. After the great war of 2012 most of what we knew of the old world faded away through the generations to come. Factual testimony till this very day is extremely unreliable; all that we have left are tattered written claims of the outcome of the war. We have bits and pieces of what ensued following the fallout, and how the continents rebuilt post war from only as far back as 3250. That leaves over 1000 years of history lost in the mists of a post-nuclear society. The mist's that me, along side my team of specialists, intend to clear on this expedition.
Beside me heading the anthropological team, at my side is a colony renowned Archeologist named Dr. Justina Flynn. Archaeology is the study of past cultures, through peoples' material remains (i.e. artifacts). Beside being the best in her field, she is the only one whose spent the majority of her life devoted to learning of the old world. Where most people wish to forget the past, her heart is set on divulging it for reasons unknown to even me. Nevertheless, she's primarily in charge of location and excavation. Also joining my band of misfits is a Forensic Anthropologist named Omar Guerez. Despite his attitude needing a serious adjustment, he is by far the best in his field. Forensic anthropologists help identify individuals who died in mass disasters, wars, or due to homicide, suicide, or accidental death. Therefore I"m sure he's going to come in handy. Last but not least is young graduate student who goes by the name of Lafont. Her level of specialization in Cultural Anthropology is only matched by her beauty and youthful ambition. Cultural Anthropology is a sub field that deals with myriad aspects of human society, culture, behavior, beliefs, ways of life, etc.
