Hasty war against Iraq- a bad decisionRushing into a war with Iraq is a bad idea for several reasons. First of all, an attack would mean the Muslim world would hate the U.S. even more than they already do. Second, Sadam Husein, the elected dictator of Iraq, would be more likely to attack America or other nations if he felt threatened by an imminent attack against him. Thirdly, there is no new evidence that Sadam poses a clear and present threat to the U.S. or other nations. Finally, the U.S. should attempt to attack Iraq without the help, cooperation and most importantly support of other countries. An attack on Iraq would anger Muslims. Angering Muslims, making Sadam more likely to attack the U.S., a lack of evidence that Sadam poses an imminent threat to America or other nations, and a general lack of help from other countries are just some of the many reasons the U.S. should not go to war with Iraq. Rather than attack, why not try some alternatives first. Good diplomacy and a more well thought out plan of neutralizing whatever threat there really is, would be a better alternative to attacking Iraq.
