Since the dawn of time men have searched for the ultimate approach to a woman, the perfect pick-up-lines, the best attitude and attire, and some clue on how to achieve desirability. Somehow we always seem to mess up these simple ideas and turn them into psychotic advances that send the opposite sex running for their lives. Maybe it’s genetics or God’s cruel sense of humor. Then again, it could be some stupefying effect girls emit with pheromones. But most likely, it’s our own cockiness and the fact that we believe we are Rico Suave when, in reality, we are more like Deuce Bigilo. Our next accomplishment is what not to wear and how not to act. You’d think that by living in a society where we’re constantly being judged we’d actually have some sort of clue. But we all know nothing could be further from the truth. Most guys, including myself, are incredibly immature. Girls seem to grow up quickly; they put their dolls away and start on their way to adulthood. Guys, well we’re different. We’re video gaming junkies for life and growing up takes a lot longer for some of us. This is why we end up with 22 year olds who still sport the “Sparta ghetto kid” look. The most famous or infamous attitude of this type of guy is the, “I’m just so damn cocky and full of myself” attitude. For some reason it always seems like a good idea at the time. Somehow acting like a stuck up jerk really doesn’t get a girl’s attention; we’ve seemed to have mistaken our confidence with cockiness and all we end up with is ourselves.

We put ourselves through torture in order to please the opposite sex. We endure hours of humiliation and rejection. We even change our lifestyle, ourselves and renounce our ability to leave the toilet seat up.
