It had tips on how to cut your prostate cancer risk, lowering your risk of heart disease preserve your brain, slimming down, staying fit, reducing your risk of colon cancer, not drinking to much, and quitting smoking. Eating a lot of vegetables can cut down your risk of getting prostate cancer by releasing antioxidants into the body that can help kill cancerous cells in the body. Prostate cancer kills 189,000 American males every year. The article tells that after the age of 50 it is a good idea to get a PSA test every year. You can help make your quota of 3 to 5 servings of veggies a day by ordering coleslaw at lunch or by ordering stewed tomatoes in your omelet. The next tip tells how to lower your risk of heart disease. It mentions quitting smoking and eating less fatty foods that prevent heart strain. You want to keep your cholesterol below 130 and blood pressure at 120/80 and no sign of diabetes. Taking care of your heart can help add years to your life. Heart disease kills 344,807 men per year. If we could all stay fit we would be a better society, I think about all the things that I eat in one day and I hope that I can cut done on what I am eating that may harm me. If I can quit doing the wrong things now like smoking, drinking to much and eating fast food everyday I think that it will help in all aspects of my life, especially my wallet. It is disturbing that heart disease kills so many people a year when all it takes is the right foods and something as enjoyable as a bike ride everyday to help prevent the disease. I agree with all the things that are said in this article. I hope that a lot of people are reading these types of articles so that men can raise their life expectancy to what women’s Is at. I think that if we could all quit smoking and start eating right the world would be a lot better place. There are a lot of people that I know that are around my age that can’t go a night without drinking. They are bound to have bad things happen to them physically and emotionally. Alcoholism is a big thing with a lot of people and it will turn out one day to be like cigarettes and will be a big health concern.
