Everyone has their own picture of an ideal husband whether it is someone that is exactly what they look for or some of the qualities they were searching for. When I was a little girl, like many other little girls, I had dreams of marrying Prince Charming, Disney has created the desire for little girls to want a prince, that is perfect in everyway, and then they can ride into the sunset and live happily ever after. Now that I’m older, though I would still like to marry Prince Charming, I understand that it is not likely. I’ll have to accept the first and second runners up. A perfect spouse is impossible to find, but an ideal one may be easier.
A perfect spouse is one that is funny and caring. He must be sweet, loving, loyal, and have many other qualities. To some he must be rich, handsome, and be able to fix anything. No one is perfect so how anyone expects to find the perfection in a spouse I will never understand. Webster dictionary defines perfect as 1. Complete in every detail. 2. Without defect; flawless. 3. Of the highest type. 4. Exact; precise. Everyone has at least one flaw, it could be anything, maybe something really small, like they don’t remember to put the toilet paper on the roll when they get a new one, or even forgetting the toilet paper all together when it’s gone. Or they may have something bigger, like they don’t show they care, or do not deal well with emotions. To some that’s a problem.
Most people settle for an ideal spouse. An ideal spouse has some or most qualities that they look for in a person. They may not be able to buy you everything that you may ever want, or the sink that they fixed now leaks worse than before he “fixed†it. But he may be able to kill those scary and icky bugs that scare you. The most important thing that a lot of people look for in their quest for the ideal match is how caring, loving, and funny that person is.
