The Two Towers written in 1st person (frodo),character list
I am Frodo and I’m a hobbit who has been entrusted with a very important mission of bringing the Ring of Power to Mt. Mordor. We had a fellowship of nine at the beginning of the journey, but us hobbits got separated and hideous orcs, soldiers of the dark lord, captured our friends Pippin and Merry. My trusted servant, Samwise and I left the fellowship after Boromir tries to take the Ring away from me by force. I was very surprise that someone who has been entrust with the mission of accompanying the bearer of the ring, would try steal it, nevertheless Sam and I got on a raft and got away from Boromir. Somewhere along this trip, we realize we are being follow by a strange creature called Gollum, who once possess the Ring and still lust for it. And when we got separated from the fellowship, we realize that Gollum is the only one that can help us now so we let Gollum guide us to Mordor. There are some mishaps on the way, especially when Gollum tries to steal the Ring or when he and Sam got into another fight or when we realize there‘s barely any food left. So we went through all these obstacles and finally reach the land of Mordor, but our troubles isn’t over yet.
Sam Gamgee - Frodo's loyal and often surprisingly insightful hobbit servant. Sam's great love for Frodo often provokes in him moments of remarkable courage. Peregrin Took (also known as Pippin) - A courageous, headstrong hobbit. Pippin, like all Tooks, loves adventure and danger. Meriadoc Brandybuck (also known as Merry) - A less adventuresome and less resourceful hobbit, but a decidedly curious one. Merry has a great love of lore and nobility. Gimli, Glóin's son - A brave and loyal dwarf. Gimli is the son of a member of Thorin's company in The Hobbit. He displays in this novel some distinctly un-dwarflike qualities, particularly in his relationship to the elves. When he encounters Lady Galadriel in Lothlorien, her supernatural beauty sparks in him a remarkable talent for poetry. Later, Gimli develops a close friendship with Legolas. Long after the War of the Ring, when King Elessar passes away, Gimli travels with Legolas to the fabled land of the elves. Sauron - The Enemy, the embodiment of evil. Sauron's only desire is to control and corrupt all living things on earth. Most of his power is stored in the One Ring and, though he does not possess it, he can still draw upon it. As long as he is separated from the Ring, however, his powers are limited.
