In the lab this week we had the opportunity to research and observe sculls from animals and humans. This was a great chance to put the scientific method into use. The question proposed to us was what process is responsible for the origin of humans. That gave us a starting point to look at and begin our research. We received pictures of the sculls and decided to record observations of what we found by means of measurements.
The results from the measurements were as some might have anticipated the older the bone the larger the jaw size. The older the scull the smaller the brain capacity was in our findings. These were findings that were taken and comprised by the whole class to provide more evidence and reproduction to the experiment to provide mor
This lab added a lot of verifiable evidence for the evolution theory. The skulls have just added to the amount of evidence that evolution stands on. The difference between creationism and evolution is that evolution is based upon verifiable evidence and creationism is based upon a faith-based principle. The evidence in the lab was undeniably real and you can’t deny the reality of the evidence.
In the readings provided by Dr. Lung they make us look at evolution and creation and compare the two. This is something that takes a non-biased approach. With taking a different approach to creation and looking at evidence in this lab I am a believer that this earth has a purpose and evolution may be part of that purpose. This lab was to help us look at
