Jack And Jill

Where did the story take place? Maryland- mostly Washington D.C

When did it take place? In the present

It first starts out with two murders. One was of a US Senator, Daniel Fitzpatrick and the other was of a little girl, Shanelle Green. Was the killer the same person? The big question was who did it? So the call for the job came to Alex Cross. His partner John Sampson came to get him. They went to work on the case of the little girl, because that’s the only case they knew about at the moment. Alex Cross had child cases like this before, and he thought back to the last time, when Gary Soneji was the kidnapper. Soon after reviewing the case of the little girl, they hear of the Senator’s murder. Now Cross and Sampson have a lot of work to do. They start


by asking a kid about a known child molester in the area of the little girls death. After spotting the guy they are looking for, he runs. Which leads into a high speed foot chase. They ran up and down alleys and then up stairs to the top of a building. Soon they realize that the guy they are chasing thinks he’s going to get away by jumping from one building to the next. He doesn’t succeed and falls to his death. Alex and Sampson figure the case is closed. But it isn’t. Soon after that they get another case of the murder of a little boy named Vernon Wheatley. Case after case start to roll in and Alex’s flashbacks from his last case with Soneji are keeping him awake at night. He then goes to the site of the little girls murder, which was at the school yard where Cross’s son goes to school. He goes and an talks with the school teacher, Mrs. Johnson. He then falls in love with her. And like his last love affair with Mrs. Flanagan, he feels as if he were in a fantasy world. They get word that the kills of Senator Fitzpatrick go by the names Jack and Jill, because of notes they leave behind. Alex tries to put the puzzle together.
