Job

My first thought was that Satan had won the wager, by Job questioning God. Which he does question God but all he wanted to know was the answer to the question. Job wanted to know why he was put into the circumstances that he was in when he knew he had done nothing wrong. He knew that he was a righteous man and by him knowing that he did not understand why he was put into those circumstances, so he wanted an answer from God. Now you may think that Satan won but God was the one who won the wager.

My first argument is based on the fact that throughout the whole book of Job, he does not curse God. That was the main purpose of the wager, Satan bet God that his humble servant would curse him if he would take everything away from him and also take his health. Through all that, Job knew to never curse God. Especially in the part of the book where Job’s wife tells him to curse God and Job says no. He then told his wife that you need to take the good and the bad that God gives you. All Job wanted to know was why was this done to him, so he was questioning God and his authority. Throughout the story no one can help Job in figuring out what the answer is to the question that he wants answered. The comforters try to t

We have went over everything that has happened in the book of Job, well the main points to why the Lord had won the wager. First we talked about Job not cursing God, which was the main point of the wager, not that Job would question God. Second was about the Lord educating Job on how He is the almighty and he is nothing but a righteous man that he made, and explains to him that he knew nothing and He Himself knew everything. Third God gave everything back to Job twice as much as before because of course Job did not curse God and He had already won the wager. Last but not least is that the Lord already knew from the beginning that He would win the wager because He knows everything and He knows about His humble servant Job.

My second argument is based on the fact that why does God come down and talk to Job if apparently he has lost the wager. God would not come and talk to Job and try to educate him on why this was done to him. He tells Job to never question him, that who is he to question Him anyway. All Job needed was to see God and will never question God again. God educates Job in who is the stronger and more powerful. That he can do whatever he wants because He meaning the Lord created everything. So the Lord shows him how powerful He is. If you think that God would just educate Job just like that if he had cursed the Lord. The Lord would squash him like a bug and not think twice because He knows that He is the almighty and no one should question his authority. All of this was done to test and educate man, to see if one righteous man could do it right. Job of course did a good job if not he would have not survived the wrath of God if he had cursed him. The Lord questioned Job with things that he might not have known and educating him by telling him that who are you to question me. But the Lord is still not angry at Job, God is angry at the comforters. The Lord had to educate Job because no one else was educating him right and speaking right of the Lo
