Theirs two kinds of throwing stands, the “stretch”, and the “wind up”, most coached would prefer you threw from the wind up, because you have more control; although if there are runners on base, you must throw from the stretch. When you throw kick your knee up as high as possible, because it will allow you all the speed you can put into a pitch. It’s also important to follow threw after your pitch, it helps on direction of the ball and speed. After every pitch, look down at your foot and make sure its pointing to the plate, and not the dug out.
