There is one sport in the world that doesn’t have standards of how athletic one should be, or how coordinated they are, the sport I’m talking about is baseball. Baseball is played all through out the world, it was originally thought up of in America, that’s why baseball is called America’s “past time”. You can go play ball without having any knowledge of the basic fundamentals, but if you want to become a better player, here are some tips. What most players sit on a bench for, or struggle at, are their batting skills. Hitting can actually be an easy thing if you keep three basic things in mind. One, never drop your hands! When I was in little league I would always drop my hands before I swung, causing me to be behind on the pitch, but if you keep them level between your chest and shoulders you will be fine. Two, you have to keep your eye on the ball, the chance of you hitting a tiny ball, coming eighty mile
For any of you that might want to pitch sometime, here are some tips on successfully throwing a strike. Theirs two kinds of throwing stands, the “stretch”, and the “wind up”, most coached would prefer you threw from the wind up, because you have more control; although if there are runners on base, you must throw from the stretch. When you throw kick your knee up as high as possible, because it will allow you all the speed you can put into a pitch. It’s also important to follow threw after your pitch, it helps on direction of the ball and speed. After every pitch, look down at your foot and make sure its pointing to the plate, and not the dug out. Baseball takes all kind of people and sizes, it doesn’t matter how skinny or how fat you are, there is always a position for someone in baseball.
