Jesus As CEO
While thinking about what it would be like if Jesus was head of an organization, I felt like I was being pulled in two different directions. In thinking of Jesus as being my boss, from a Christian point of view, it would be one of the best things to ever happen to me. To actually meet Jesus and be able to interact with him would be amazing. But I also feel that there is one characteristic that Jesus would not be able to possess that would make a successful company in this day of age. Coming from the Christian point of view, working for Jesus would be the ideal situation for anyone. You know that if you are working for Him that you are always going to be getting an honest answer and that your boss is going to care for you so much that he would be willing to die for you. Which is a characteristic that I see dwindling in this day in age, the fact that people only care about themselves and how much money they have. But Jesus would be the ideal boss to have. In fact you would never be able to fine a better boss anywhere else. When looking back on the McDonalization book that we read in class and looking at the characteristics that that book laid in front of us, I still see Jesus being a great boss and
someone that would hold many of the characteristics that it would take to be successful. If you take each of the four characteristics that Ritzer gave us you will still see Jesus being a great and effective boss. Take predictability first off. Now if Jesus cannot predict what is going to happen in a company, then no one will ever be able to. Jesus would always be able to know what is happening and what is going to happen in the future, which would make predictability one aspect that Jesus would be great at. So as you can see, according to the book that we read, Jesus would definitely have the ability to run a great organization. He would be able to predict what was going to go on in the organization, he would definitely have control over everything and everyone, he would be able to calculate the organization to the last dotted āIā, and he would make sure that everything was efficient and great for the customer. Second, take control as the next characteristic. Now Jesus would only hire ones that were going to follow Him, trust in Him, and be strong Christians. So control would be a very easy characteristic for Jesus to have because all of his employees would be there to serve him, and he would not have to worry about people going out of control, so control would be another characteristic that Jesus would be great at. In looking at the characteristics that Jesus would be able to possess, I am positive that Jesus would be able to run a great and efficient
