Leadership Perspectus

Goals: (What specifically would you like to undertake and why?)

Be happy, be a great wife and mother, graduate from an accredited University, start a small business.

A. Knowledge: (What should you know regarding your chosen career? What degree, certificate, if any, would you need?)

Accounting involves the examination, organization, management and design of accurate recording and reporting procedures of financial and business transactions.

B. Character: (What character traits, qualit

This year I will be looking to start my career as a Financial Analysis. The spring semester I will be spending looking for the perfect job and working hard to maintain my GPA so when I graduate from grad school I will be marketable. Also in 2006 hopefully I will be making wedding plans for the following year because I would like to at this time also start thinking about long-term family plans, marriage and the kids. By the end of 2006 hopefully I will be well into my wedding plans. 2006 is a big year once again because I will be working my tail off to graduate college and then to become Mrs. Christopher Charles Fenwick. By this time I will be working hard making money so that I can take a few years off of work to spend with my kids that I plan to have. As a Financial Analysis I plan to go back home and find employment at Merck so I can make the big bucks.

B. Character: (Indicate your character traits. How do you perceive yourself?)

Thus far in my life I have had several dreams one of which is being here in the Virgin Islands attending this University. I am a true Pisces in that I am a dreamer and that I love to be near water. I wouldn’t have a reason to live without my dreams and aspirations, I think that if I could prioritize my dreams and put them in order from most important ones to least important ones honestly it would look so.

F. Experiences: (What career-related experiences have you already had?) I have had several full-time and part-time positions thus far each giving me some sort of experience that I will use toward my career. I started off working in a hair salon working as a shampoo assistant (that job taught me responsibility, self maintenance, and communication skills) I then went on to Red Lobster, also New York and Co. (it’s a clothing franchise mostly found in malls, I learned how to work a register which is a direct source document for accountants). From New York and Co. I went to an office job doing clerical work (I got to practice my typing skills, and work on computer literacy). This summer I enjoyed away at an overnight summer camp working with over 300 campers ranging from ages 5 to 14 years of age (this summer camp was brand new and a sole proprietor so I actually got to see first hand how a small business is operated). Currently I work for Topa Equities/Properties ( I organize files and make sure that all our Tenants are up to date in insurance).

Completely finished with my schooling and starting a marriage this will be when I plan to have children. I want 3 and I don’t want to get started to late. I will now be 24 and this will be an opportune time to make plans for my small business I plan to open. I will write a business plan and start developing my thoughts into action. My business will be a small corner Café located in the historical district of Charlotte Amalie. So I may be traveling back and forth between St.Thomas and Pennsylvania a lot. I will be building my new business from scratch. Since I work for Topa Equities I will have someone I am familiar with to lease property from. This project will most likely consume much of my time and I may even at this point look for someone to help me along the way of making the business a success. Maybe bring in my store manager now to help along the way with the businesses final plans.
