Macbeth is thought of very highly and is pronounced Thane of Cawdor. I think Macbeth deserved this title, because he evidently showed great courage in battle, and was highly supported by his wife. In addition to this, he showed great loyalty and tremendous ambition.

The apparition is very much true, but in the last scenes of act5 when Macbeth is in conflict with Macduff he is told Macduff was born by caesarean operation, so the apparition warning him was true. Macbeth had no choice but to fight. Macbeth didn’t give up the fight he fought to the end, although he lost his wife and friend Banquo. In the end Macduff kills Macbeth. Macduff appears carrying Macbeth's severed head and hails Malcolm as the new king of Scotland. Malcolm says that when he is crowned, he will make Macduff and his supporters Earls of the realm as they all celebrate the triumph over Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and the evil that they caused in Scotland.
