How do you measure someone’s maturity? It can’t bebased on the age of an individual. It is different for every person, in some cases it come very early for. This brings up a lot of questions like, why are you legal to do almost everything else at eighteen but to drink you must wait until twenty-one. The drinking age should be lowered to eighteen because, you can die for your country, vote for your nations’ leader and, be tried as an adult in the court Sure, dying for your county is a great honor, but what makes you mature enough to die on the battle field. I guess your old enough to make the right decision in the line of fire, unless the shots are tequila or any other alcohol. Anyone who gets the news that they have to go out to war, will get little frightened and want a drink to calm themselves down. Why don’t they make the age to join any military service twenty one? If your old enough to go out and kill or be killed, why are you not old enough to drink. The argument of drinking and driving comes up often. People would say that the rate of drinking and driving will become a bigger problem than it is now. Which may be true but, in the research that I have done the statistics were
