Major Theme Of Roswell The Cover Up
The major theme presented in the movie, "Roswell: The Cover-up" is the question of whether or not we are alone in this universe. The point of the movie is that we are not. In the movie, a space craft with four aliens aboard crash-landed on a large ranch in Roswell, New Mexico. The government almost immediately rushed in, sealed off the area, denied that it was extraterestrial activity, claimed that is was a weather balloon, and threatened everyone involved if they told anyone. The aliens in the film were the stereotypical small child-like alien with a tiny body and limbs, but an enormous egg shaped head with large black, almond shaped eyes. The only difference was that they had white skin, and while alive, glowed faitly blue. On top of that, the movie stated that not only are we not alone, but aliens were greatly involved in human progress and evolution. The mysterious Townsend claimed that perhaps aliens don’t travel thousands of light years to earth, but in fact travel through different dimensions or universes. The main character in the movie "Roswell: The Cover-up" is a man named Major Jesse Marcel. As Lt. Jesse Marcel, he was one of the first millitary people to see the crash site and believe that it was an alien vessel that had crashed there in 1946. He journeyed there with one of his collegues and took back with him pieces of metal from the crash site. He showed his family these pieces and the amazing things that they could do, such as heal themselves after being scratched or flatten out after being crumpled up or folded several times. He even let his son keep a piece. This amazing discovery earned him a promotion to the rank of major, although this also served as compensation for what was going to happen. In a day or two, Major Marcel was flown to Fort Worth where he became the fall guy as the military claimed that he had found a weather balloon and not an alien spacecraft. The press was then allowed in and Major Marcel was made out to be a fool as he was insulted and made to bend down on his knees and hold the weather balloon up for photographers.
