A Different Kind of Drug War

Anti-depressants are drugs that boost the brain chemical serotonin by blocking its re-absorption into cells that send it out as a signal transmitter. Sounds acceptable, right? Wrong. Many people experience serious adverse reactions to these drugs. This makes perfect sense considering the drug is altering the chemicals in your brain.

Users of anti-depressants may have side effects that include confusion, extreme agitation advancing to delirium or coma. On top of that, they may impair a persons judgment, thinking or motor skills. Dizziness and lightheadedness have also been reported. Yet no one knows about any of this. The doctors surely don’t speak about it, and neither do the labels on the bottles! This is not even the beginning of the low quality of these drugs.

There are so many side effects that could be experienced; it would blow your mind. Some of them include nausea, nervousness, insomnia, diarrhea, headache, rash, sweating, decreased appetite, weight loss or gain, sexual dysfunction, memory lapses, apathy, worrisome, disfiguring facial tics, mouth twitching, tongue darting, becoming highly anxious, violence, and suicide. Just to name a few. Betty is one of many patients that had a not so pleasant experience with one of

United States health officials suggest that a number of patients may become violent or prone to suicidal thinking. As Proof, Dr Martin T, a psychiatrist at Mclean Hospital, and two of his colleagues said that six of his depressed patients began to have suicidal thoughts after using Prozac. Dr T. also said that when they began taking the drug none of the patients were suicidal, and in fact they were all “hopeful and optimistic” about their treatment. After the results came in they told of two things the patients had experienced: violence and suicide. The cases of this type of reaction are becoming too abundant, and have already lead to disaster. The two boys at Columbine were in fact on anti-depressants, and what happened? Violence, and then suicide. Something that is believed to be true by many people, with no doubt in mind, is that every single school gunman was on anti-depressants at the time of the shooting. No doubt in mind! Another doctor, Dr. Catlin, a psychiatrist who is chief of the mental health service at Harvard University says that some of the students whom he treated with Prozac or Zoloft reported “feeling split off from themselves, as though they’re not there anymore.” The drug literally can take over your mind. It causes the person to lose touch with reality, and start living in there own happy world. The most likable, well-mannered person could unusually blow up at someone if slightly agitated. The person m
