Almost a wishful thinking. For instance, when Annie’s brother is there he doesn’t see the players on the field. Unlike the usual saying, “You have to see it to believe it.” it’s vice versa. It’s now you have to believe it to see it. I think that goes with such things like religion and miracles. Many people don’t see anything until they look for it. The movie as a whole was very interesting. It made me think would I do anything that outrageous in my lifetime like Ray. In a since I think I would if I was financially stable. So I guess I wouldn’t be a big risk taker on something like Ray did. I believe the development of the characters was very well put together. I mostly like how Ray Kinsella’s wife, Annie was out of the ordinary compared to most movies. She gave me the since that you don’t have to be that blond, who plays by the rules. In the scene were she defends freedom of speech at the PTA meeting, she wins me over with her talk back to the lady she is feuding with. “Field of Dreams” is a movie that uses so many metaphors and explains everything around them. Its symbolic use in this movie gives the audience something to put in their own perspective of life.
