Robert Sternberg believed with his Triarchic Theory that there were three different kinds of intelligences that all work together. From that belief, Sternberg created a triarchic model of intelligence to illustrate his theory. In Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory, intelligence is divided into the analytic (the ability to solve problems), the creative (the ability to deal with new situations), and the practical (the ability to accomplish everyday tasks).
