The purpose of this paper is to analyze the insight I have gained while engaged in a set of six exercises designed to gage key personality traits. The insight gained by this exercise will be useful in helping me to recognize and change counterproductive behavior patterns that could have a negative effect on my management style. The results of the exercises will also help me interact better with other members of my organization.
The overall results of the surveys indicate that I have some behavior patterns that need to be changed in order to be a more effective participant in this game we call Life. This is not to suggest that I am ineffective, as I feel I do contribute a high level of effectiveness to my respective groups inside and outside of work. Having a good sense of myself and who I am, I pretty much agree with a majority of the findings. The specific surveys I took are broken down in detail in the following paragraphs. The findings I disagree with will also be highlighted in the following paragraphs.
The premise of this survey is a five-factor model of personality, also referred to as the Big Five. These five factors consist of Extroversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiou
